I was just on Vision with Activities Director Mey. I don't know her last name. She's from Peru. She has been promoted to Cruise Director and will be on the Enchantment. I'm not sure when she will start. I know she'll do a great job. Her social media handle is "heymeyoftheseas".

I've had Mey ("Hey Mey") as CD on Vision in December. I did know that she took on the position of Activities Manager shortly after that. It's good to know that she's going back to CD position on Enchantment.
I reached out to Mey. She told me to stay tuned and she’ll tell me exactly when she’ll take over.
I just had a chat with Joao Ribeiro. He told me that Marc Walker will be taking over on Navigator on September 11th, not the 4th.

I posted that question on our FB page earlier today. Most liked him and felt that he would even be better with more cruises under his belt. He was at all the usual places, i. e. Before & after each show, hosting Love & Marriage show. Would have liked it if he walked through Schooner Bar during the 10 days of Trivia. A few didn't care for his Hungarian accent. I had no problem with it.

Just off the Enchantment TA this morning and I have to say Eric Lopez is one of the best CDs I have sailed with!
He is so energetic, has time to chat to everyone and was very personable. The whole activities team were wonderful.
In my opinion Eric Lopez is definately up there with Abe Hughes and Mike Szwajkowsk as my favourite CDs!

We had Steve from Canada as cruise director Quantum last October. We had him again on Ovation May 2nd sailing. He was terrible, always talk like he's an a uctioneering. Didn't like him at all, worse cruise director that we ever have. 😑

Hurricane Helene impacts Port Canaveral: Cruisers stuck at sea because of storm
PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. - Cruisers are stuck at sea because of deteriorating conditions off the coast of Florida from Hurricane Helene.
Port Canaveral could close as soon as midnight on Wednesday, and large ships aren’t allowed to dock because of the conditions.
FOX 35 News spoke with a passenger on an MSC cruise. She was supposed to dock at Port Canaveral on Thursday, but that’s impossible.
She’s stuck on a cruise ship as the Space Coast braces for high winds on land.
Darlean Sheets shared a photo of several cruise ships currently docked in the Bahamas, and she’s one of the passengers on MSC Seashore.
"It’s going to be some intense gusts and intense waves, so it might be a really bad night on the ship today or tomorrow. We shall see," said the avid cruiser.

She took note of the rough conditions they could experience when the captain announced on Tuesday that they were stuck at sea because of the hurricane.
"We’ve never had to extend our cruise ever before," said Sheets.
She says the cruise line gave everyone Wi-Fi, so people can try and make alternate travel arrangements when they’re back on land.
"We’re just all taking it one day at a time and waiting to see what happens," she said.
Even with Hurricane Helene hitting the West Coast, Brevard County officials are bracing for impacts.
"This is a massive storm that’s going to blanket the entire state of Florida," said Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey during his 1 p.m. hurricane prep briefing at the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) on Wednesday.
The EOC will move to Level 2 on Thursday morning, and high winds are the biggest threat facing the Space Coast.
"We’re still talking about impacts for Brevard, and specifically we’re talking about winds. That’s our big one and increasingly some tornado threats," said Brevard’s EOC Director, John Scott.
At Port Canaveral, the Coast Guard makes the final call when they have to shut everything down. That could happen as soon as Wednesday evening.
The port posted on social media that cruisers are likely to face more delays. Anyone hoping to set sail on Friday or Saturday should contact their cruise line immediately to see if that will still happen.

ADMIN MOD. Crappy Cruise Director on Oasis OTS. As someone who has sailed with Royal many times, I know that depending on the cruise director the activities on board will be different. With that being said, I got off the Oasis OTS yesterday and "Tom" the cruise director had to be one of the most awful cruise directors I've ever encountered.
