Youth Baseball Leagues

Little league baseball®.

The  Little League Baseball ® program includes divisions for all children, ages 4–16. There is T-Ball for toddlers all the way to Senior Leagues for ages 13 to 16. Your local Little League team is based on either your child’s home or school address. From Aliso Viejo to Villa Park Little League use the official Little League baseball finder tool to determine which league to sign up to.

Pony Baseball

Pony Baseball is open to children and young adults from age 3 to 23 and the leagues are organized in two-year age brackets with “and-under” programs. Use the Pony Baseball tool finder to locate a league in your area. There is also Pony Select baseball which are competitive teams that play other Pony Organizations in Orange County and may possibly be entered into tournaments that require travel.

The BPA Orange County Youth Travel Baseball California National Team: An Overview

The BPA Orange County Youth Travel Baseball California National Team is a premier youth baseball program that assembles the cream of the crop from Orange County's baseball talent pool. This program not only hones the players' skills but also teaches them valuable life lessons, teamwork, and sportsmanship that extend beyond the diamond. Players will compete Nationally all over the U.S. and teams are compiled with members from our satellite affiliate BPA clubs located in California (Sacramento BPA, Central Coast BPA, Inland Empire BPA, Orange County BPA, & San Diego BPA) Arizona, Mississippi (Yalobusha Giants BPA), and Arkansas to name a few.

Fall 2024 Select Division

The Irvine Select Division brings Select Travel Baseball teams from all over Orange County and plays a competitive brand of baseball in a league format.  

Here are some highlights:

• Deadline to register for Fall - August 16, 2024 or until the division is full. 
• Coaches Meeting & Book Check - TBD, at 6:00pm -  FOR SPRING ONLY.
• 2024 Fall Select - The dates will be September 8, 2024 to November 17, 2024.
• First game of the season - Sunday, September 8, 2024.
• Divisions:  7U - 14U 
• Game format:  Weekend only games, 8 games plus playoffs.
• Playoff Tournament style in Irvine for Spring Season only , TBD.
• All Administrative and scheduling is completed by our Select Commissioner and Select Scheduler.
• 2 Bye request allowed in Fall
• 3 Bye request allowed in Spring
• For Spring Select - Entry into our annual Memorial Day Tournament (additional fees apply & you must register your team timely).
• Umpire fees covered by registration fee.
• Competitive baseball environment.
• Fee: Fall Fees - $895
• Interlocking teams provide at least 50% Home field for games.

What if we are a PONY team wishing to play All-Stars?

In the Spring, those teams wishing to play PONY All-Stars must adhere to the PONY guidelines in order to be eligible for summer play.  They must also register their team with their respective PONY organization.  

What are the bat requirements?

You can use USSSA and/or USA certified bats.  2 ¾ or 2 5/8 barrels are allowed in league play.

• 14U Division – players must swing a  bat  no lighter than a drop-5, but are encouraged to use a BBCOR with a max drop weight of -3.  
• 13U Division – players must swing a  bat  with no lighter than a drop-8 
• 12U Division and below – required USSSA or USA certified bats

Cali National Baseball Academy is a youth baseball academy based out of Lake Forest / Irvine that specializes in Player Development.  We are one of few Orange County premier competitive youth baseball organizations.  We offer various types of Training programs from high paced practices, to competitive tournament games, camps, private training, as well as speed and strength programs.  Our goal is to provide youth with professional development training and preparation for high school, college, and beyond.  We have an experienced coaching staff consisting of coaches who have played and coached high school, college, and professional baseball.

We are MLB Pitch Smart USA BAseball Full Compliance Organization.  We are pleased to announce the our program has been aapproved by USA Baseball and is in full compliance with MLB PItch Smart USA Baseball guidelines.  Although it's never guaranteed a kid will never experience arm issues playing baseball, we want to be practive in reducing the rate of arm injuries...We encourage our friends and peers to get educated and do the same for our youth!
