Price stayed the same. Changed details many times about our vehicle pick up location, pick up day and time, return day and time, what car to choose, prior to finalize the reservation. To USA and other Expats-. Auto-Europe car rental is a total scam!!!! It takes your nonrefundable payment in full, when booking on line, but neglects inform you until arrive at your car rental destination, that due to their restrictions embedded in the fine print of page 5 of their contract, you will ultimately be denied your nonrefundable voucher.

In France our rental was with Europcar-no drop off fees. Be sure you understand all the ins and outs of car rental in Europe.

I see many posts with people recommending booking rental cars using AutoEurope. Comparing prices between AutoEurope (for an Avis car) and Avis (making a direct booking) I get (for a 5 day rental, one way from Verona to Venice): AutoEurope: $343 w/deductible or $510 without; estimated $15 one-way fee to be charged at pick-up.

Absolutely right. AutoEurope is a car rentalbroker and EuropCar is a car rental supplier . AutoEurope frequently uses EuropCar as its preferred supplier though so the two often get confused. The EuropCar franchise at Nice airport is the stuff of the legendary queues referred to above and is usually best avoided at peak times.

Yes, 70 dollars. We've used Auto Europe twice, both times in Italy, and had no issues. I just booked through them. Haven't picked up my car yet, but the voucher came through right away. You get to choose which company you want to use through them. I went with Enterprise. The smaller companies had terrible reviews.

Seamless user experience in reservation. No hassle. I have been using Auto Europe for 20 years and it has been consistently good. Another good thing is Auto Europe does not include low cost rentals such as Goldcar, Fire rental which are notorious for scamming drivers by charging car scratches that were not caused by drivers.
