This summer, I invite you to put together an “ Aesthetic Summer Bucket List ” and tick off these mesmerizing destinations.

In the age of digital aesthetics and travel wanderlust, the very act of exploring the world has become an art form.

If you’re like the modern-day traveler, your Pinterest boards are strewn with pictures of stunning locales, and your Instagram feed is a testament to your unyielding quest for picturesque perfection.

In this post, I am specifically talking to travel enthusiasts, Instagrammers, and photographers who are in constant pursuit of the visually extraordinary.

What Is an Aesthetic Summer Bucket List?

An aesthetic summer bucket list is different than the traditional checklist of destinations and activities.

It’s curated with an eye for beauty, aimed at those who seek not just to visit, but to experience the world through an artistic lens.

This type of bucket list emphasizes the aesthetic value of each location, focusing on picturesque landscapes, architecturally stunning buildings, and culturally rich environments that offer visually striking experiences.

For the modern-day traveler, it’s about crafting a summer filled with moments that are as breathtaking in reality as they are through the lens of a camera.

Unlike a normal bucket list, which might prioritize popular tourist attractions or personal milestones, an aesthetic summer bucket list prioritizes visual appeal and the emotional response it evokes.

This list is about seeking out destinations that offer unique, Instagram-worthy photo opportunities that capture the essence of summer. It’s a personal challenge to look beyond the surface, to find beauty in the hidden corners of the world, and to document these experiences in a way that inspires others.

The Ultimate Aesthetic Summer Bucket List

Creating an aesthetic summer bucket list is more than just an exercise in wishful thinking.

It’s about setting attainable travel goals that lead you to beautiful moments, stunning vistas, and unforgettable experiences.

Each item on this list is carefully curated to ensure that it not only looks good on your feed but also leaves an indelible mark on your memory.

Take a Flower Bath in Bali

Bali, known for its spiritual and holistic healing experiences, offers the tranquil practice of taking a flower bath .

This indulgent experience is not just visually stunning but is believed to cleanse the body and soul, infused with the aromatic scents of frangipani, jasmine, and rose petals.

This is an undeniable treat to any aesthetic summer bucket list!

…Or just do anything in Bali.

I am not going to sugarcoat it, Bali is the most aesthetic location I have ever traveled to . I saw lines of travel influencers just salivating at the mouth.

From the iconic jungle swing to more “hidden gem” temples, Bali is quite literally a tsunami of aesthetic travel experiences.

Do a Flying Dress Photoshoot in Santorini

I know you have seen the iconic landscapes of Santorini, Greece. But have you seen the EPIC flying dress photoshoots ? If you haven’t, I guarantee that you will have a hard time picking up your jaw from the floor.

This is an essential for every traveling woman looking to boost self-love and choke after she sees these photos. I have literally NEVER seen a bad photo of a long dress photoshoot in Greece. Ever.

Plus, the island’s breathtaking scenery provides the perfect backdrop for these ethereal photo shoots. The villages of Oia and Fira, with their iconic blue domed churches and sweeping caldera views, offer the ideal setting.

This experience often can’t be done by yourself (unless you own a super long dress for some reason?) so you will need to hire a photographer:

Witness Golden Hour at the Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon transforms during the golden hour, casting a warm glow over its rocks.

For a stunning viewpoint, Mather Point offers stunning vistas and is accessible enough for all kinds of travelers. Plus, it is only a 5-minute walk from the Visitor Center.

When photographing at the canyon, always stay behind guardrails and keep an eye on your equipment, as strong gusts can sweep things away .

Rent a Kimono and Wander through Japan

Exploring the historic streets of Kyoto or the bustling atmosphere of Tokyo while dressed in a traditional kimono offers a unique way to immerse oneself in Japanese culture.

This experience connects you with the country’s rich history and traditions, allowing for a deeper appreciation of its aesthetic and societal norms.

I had a delightful opportunity during my visit to Tokyo with my best friend while I was studying in Cambridge for uni. We figured that we were going sightseeing anyway, and we wanted to deepen our appreciation for traditional Japanese culture.

And we were right! The entire experience was beautiful and extremely meaningful.

Cultural Immersion

Renting a kimono and strolling through ancient temples or participating in a tea ceremony provides not just a picturesque moment but also a profound insight into the elegance and etiquette of Japanese customs .

Bask at the Ancient Ruins of Petra

The rose-red city, half as old as time, will dazzle you with its rock-carved beauty.

Odds are that if you follow a travel blogger, they will have this on their feed . It is also common to have a camel be your mode of transportation.

And what is more aesthetic than you on a camel in front of Petra? Not much .

Early Morning Excursion

The site opens at 6 am, and the Treasury is a 10-minute walk from the entrance. The early morning light is ideal for photos.

Arrive early to beat the crowds and wander through the Siq to witness the sun’s first rays on the Treasury.

I would also suggest going on this adventure in early or late summer to avoid the heat .

Wander the Taj Mahal at Dawn

The Taj Mahal, bathed in the soft morning light, is a sight that cannot be captured in words alone. This also makes it a stunning place for travel photography.

When I was in India , I was told to arrive early. And by early…I mean early. If you see my photo below, there are NO people in my shot. This is because I got up before the sun, cried a little bit, and waited in line at the East Gate before they opened.

Was I tired? Yes. Was it worth it? YES!

Wearing a Sari

Now, I have a family that married into an Indian family. Ever since then, I knew that I wanted to get a sari made for me. With the guidance of my family, I ended up getting a gold and teal sari when I was in Agra.

And I’m only a little obsessed with it.

My travel companions also got saris which made for an epic shot of all of us in front of the Taj Mahal.

My only warning to you is that if you do this all eyes will be on you . I had several people wanting my picture and stopping to talk to me. I didn’t mind it, but this might put some travelers on edge.

Take in the Beauty of Cinque Terre

The five villages that makeup Cinque Terre sit precariously on the cliffs above the Ligurian Sea and are renowned for their stunning vistas and pastel-colored houses.

If you are looking for that iconic view of this colorful city, you are going to want to hit the Santa Maria Belvedere terrace for that epic photo on your aesthetic summer bucket list.

The Blue Path

The ‘ blue path ‘ that connects the towns is a popular hiking trail and offers some of the most breathtaking views of the region.

It is about 7.5 miles (12 km) and starts from the westernmost village, Monterosso, and ends in the easternmost village, Riomaggiore.

Swim in the Blue Lagoons of Malta

Malta’s Azure Window may have collapsed, but the island still boasts incredible blue lagoons .

The island of Comino’s Blue Lagoon is a paradise for snorkelers and swimmers, with shallow, crystal-clear water.

The Blue Lagoon also has some of the most bought and highly rated tours on both Viator and GetYourGuide . I would highly suggest checking them out if you want to check this off of your bucket list. Here are few examples:

Best Conditions

Since it can be very hot, especially in July and August, it is highly recommended to go early in the morning . This also helps you avoid those pesky photobombers.

Have an Adventure in Torres del Paine National Park

Torres del Paine National Park , located in Chile’s Patagonia region, is a spectacle of nature that epitomizes the untamed beauty of the wilderness.

Visiting during the summer months unveils a vibrant tapestry of flora and fauna against the backdrop of majestic mountains, crystal-clear lakes, and expansive glaciers.

This makes it one of the most aesthetically pleasing places in the world to visit!

This destination promises stunning photo opportunities and moments of reflection amidst some of the world’s most spectacular natural wonders.

Relax in Bora Bora’s Overwater Bungalows

Luxuriate in the famous overwater bungalows, a signature of this paradise.

With the legendary Mount Otemanu as a backdrop , Bora Bora offers an unparalleled setting for exquisite photos.

Lodging Choices

Book a bungalow to ensure you wake up to the sight of the lagoon and have perfect lighting throughout the day.

This might cost you a pretty penny but this is a once-an-a-lifetime experience that will surely shine on your aesthetic summer bucket list.

Once you are in Bora Bora, there are so many tropical bucket list ideas for you to choose from:

Photograph the Fiords of New Zealand

New Zealand’s Milford Sound is a must-see for its granite peaks jutting out of still, blue waters. The sound comes alive after a rainfall, with countless waterfalls cascading down the cliffs.

It is astounding that I did not hear of Milford Sound’s awe-inspiring beauty before visiting it myself. However, when I saw its wonders first-hand, I quickly learned why it demands such attention from travelers.

In fact, it was one of the coolest things I saw in New Zealand (and that’s saying something). Well, other than my bungee jump , of course.

Cruise or Kayak?

A cruise provides the best vantage points, especially for photography. The local companies are adept at maneuvering close to the waterfalls for a unique shot.

However, if you are looking for an adventure and a picture of yourself , then you might want to consider a kayak.

Or, better yet, some offer both options (linked below!)

Cruise Tours

Kayak tours.

…or you could extra extra and just fly over it !

Run Through the Lavender Fields of Provence

Nothing is more Instagram-worthy than the purple sea of lavender in France . The best time to visit is mid-June and mid-August . Mid-July is when the fields are in full bloom.

I would make sure to wear your best outfit because you are going to look absolutely stunning surrounded by purple!

Ideal Locations

Valensole Plateau and Sénanque Abbey offer some of the most iconic views of the lavender fields.

Hike The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

A trek to Machu Picchu in Peru is not only rewarding for the soul but also for the camera.

The Sun Gate boasts the classic view of the citadel, especially during the dry season (May to October ) when mists are rare.

Permits and Preparation

Limited permits are available each day, so booking well in advance is essential.

I would also encourage you to actually TREK to Machu Picchu, instead of just taking the bus. I’m not saying that taking the bus is kinda cheating, but this jaw-dropping landmark is 100% more meaningful when you’ve earned it .

I might have earned it a bit too much by trekking both the Salkantay and the Incan Trail for a week (51 miles and we reached over 17,000 feet)…but I bawled once I got to Machu Picchu.

…and that’s also why all of my “aesthetic” photos were taken from the back: because I hadn’t showered in over a week!

Enjoy a Ride in the Canals of Venice

Exploring the canals of Venice offers an experience like no other, a chance to step into a living masterpiece of architecture and history .

This city on water, with its intertwining canals, stunning Gothic and Renaissance buildings, and timeless bridges, presents a unique blend of beauty, romance, and mystery.

Venice’s labyrinth of canals is best explored early in the morning to avoid the crowds and enjoy the stillness. Among the most photogenic locations are the Grand Canal and the Bridge of Sighs .

Photography Tips

Gondolas and Vaporetto ferries add charm to canal shots. The first vaporetto along the Grand Canal leaves at around 5 am in summer.

Book a Venice Gondola Ride

Take a stroll through sunflower fields in tuscany.

Tuscany’s sunflower fields are a summer spectacle, with their bright yellow flowers contrasting the green of the rolling hills. These vibrant fields stretch as far as the eye can see, painting the countryside in a brilliant hue of yellow from June to August .

The sunflower symbolizes the region’s sunny disposition and enriches the already picturesque scenery.

For photographers and nature lovers alike, the sunflower fields of Tuscany offer a unique opportunity to capture the essence of Italian summer, where the warm, golden tones of the flowers contrast beautifully against the deep blues of the Tuscan sky.

Although it is possible to go “sunflower hunting” in this area, it is recommended to travel via Cassia, between Siena and Montalcino for a true sea of yellow.

Mid-June to early August is when the sunflowers are in full bloom, so visit then for the perfect shot.

You might need to be flexible since there is only a small window of full bloom.

Explore Banff National Park in Canada

Nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, Banff National Park is a haven for nature lovers and adventure seekers.

Its vast wilderness, characterized by towering mountain peaks, turquoise glacial lakes, and expansive forests, offers a natural playground unparalleled in beauty.

Whether you’re hiking the scenic trails in the summer, skiing the powdery slopes in the winter, or soaking in the natural hot springs year-round, Banff provides an unforgettable experience.

The park’s wildlife, including elk, bears, and wolves, adds an element of awe and respect for nature’s inhabitants. Visiting Banff National Park is not just a trip; it’s an immersion into one of the planet’s most spectacular landscapes.

Top Things to Do in Banff National Park

See the magic of bioluminescence.

Witnessing bioluminescence is like capturing the stars in the sea. Mosquito Bay in Puerto Rico, is one of the brightest and most reliable spots for this natural phenomenon.

Although I attempted to witness this while I was traveling in Costa Rica, I finally caught a glimpse of this phenomenon while in the Bay of Islands in New Zealand .

I was night kayaking and it was as if the water glowed as I paddled through the water. It was, to put it simply, magical.

Ideal Conditions

The bioluminescence is best seen during the new moon when the sky is darkest. It is also best seen in areas with very little light pollution.

You can find examples of bioluminescent tours below. Although you can see it by yourself, it is sometimes tricky without a local guide…

Photography

Shooting bioluminescence is challenging but rewarding. It might be hard to capture this incredible natural phenomenon without a professional camera.

You might need a tripod and a full-frame camera. Use a wide aperture and high ISO for long-exposure shots.

Cruise Through Halong Bay

Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Vietnam , is celebrated for its breathtaking seascape of limestone pillars and islets rising from emerald waters.

Taking a cruise through this geological wonder allows you to witness the awe-inspiring beauty of nature up close.

While summer voyages might greet you with a sprinkle of rain, this actually enhances the mystical ambiance of the bay and results in fewer crowds , offering a more exclusive and serene experience.

When I visited this incredible Vietnamese location, my mind was blown by all of the natural wonders that surrounded me.

It is surely one of the most beautiful natural places I’ve ever been!

Respect the Temples of Angkor Wat at Sunrise

Angkor Wat, the world’s largest religious monument, is beautifully preserved and a testament to the Khmer Empire. Built in the 12th century by Suryavarman II, the entire thing is an architectural wonder.

I found myself in complete awe at how they built such impressive structures that are still standing today.

The best times for photos are during sunrise and sunset , offering golden and pink hues that reflect off the temple surfaces.

Most tours (including mine) opting for the sunrise tour. I didn’t see a ton of bright orange colors like I expected to and there were a lot of people there.

However, it still was absolutely magical and a moment I have dreamed about ever since I was a wee little mermaid.

Angkor Wat is More than the Main Structure

When I first desired to explore Angkor Wat, I thought that it comprised of those three iconic pillars and that was it. I was so wrong!

The temple complex is vast, so explore the less-visited areas for solitude and unique angles.

Ironically, I actually enjoyed the Ta Prohm temple the most and found its photography opportunities plentiful! Think Lara Croft aesthetic! I was in love!

Another one of my favorites was the Bayon Temple with its 37 Buddha faces and intricate passageways.

Top Tours of Angkor Wat

There are some very highly rated tours of Angkor Wat! I will list a few below, but I would suggest you click here to see them all.

Explore the Snow-Capped Peaks of the Swiss Alps

The Swiss Alps are synonymous with charm, with their perfect, snow-capped peaks, blue skies, and rolling clouds. Interlaken and Zermatt are the gateways to some of the most scenic alpine experiences.

Even though I am accustomed to majestic mountains here in my native Colorado , there is nothing quite like the Swiss Alps.

Plus, there are aesthetic opportunities galore! From vast mountain landscapes to cozy Swiss chalets (and fondue?), you will have no trouble finding beauty in Switzerland.  You can even paraglide over them!

Seasonal Considerations

During the summer, most snow will have melted in the lower elevations and stunning hiking trails will be open. This is a perfect excuse to get outside to capture the quintessential Swiss Alps.

With that being said, I would also consider coming back during the winter ski season for a complete change in landscape and some snowy adventures.

Top Tours in the Swiss Alps

Discover antelope canyon in arizona.

The Navajo sandstone slot canyons of Antelope Canyon are a photographer’s dream.

It doesn’t even look like Earth to me!

The Upper Antelope Canyon with its beams of light shafting through at midday, and the Lower Canyon , offering less crowded photo ops throughout the day.

Just prepare for some intense summer heat in the summer!

Optimal Light

For ideal light conditions, schedule your visit around midday, but avoid the months of December and January when the beams don’t hit the canyon floors.

Witness the Emerald Green Waters of Plitvice Lakes

Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia is not only a UNESCO World Heritage site but also home to vibrant, azure waters that cascade through a series of lakes and waterfalls.

It is a perfect place for an outdoor lover to wander around and take in its beauty.

As soon as you enter Entrance 1, you will be treated to Veliki Slap , one of the tallest waterfalls in Croatia.

As you start to make your way through the park, there are plenty of opportunities for lakes, waterfalls, and enchanting hikes.

If you do not feel comfortable taking this stunning park on by yourself, there are several highly rated day trips available:

Seasonal Beauty

The park is stunning year-round , but the lakes are at their well-known emerald best in the sunlight of summer , which is why it earned its place on this list.

Get Lost in the Colorful Streets of Burano

The Venetian island of Burano boasts a collection of rainbow-hued houses that are a joy to photograph. Explore the quieter alleys to find charming sights without the crowds.

Although this might not be as popular as the Venice canals itself, it should not be overlooked.

If you are in Venice already, you might consider taking a tour that irons out all of those pesky travel details for you:

Best Time of Day for Photography

Early morning or late afternoon light will make the colors pop without the harsh midday shadows.

Visit Lofoten Norway

The Lofoten Islands are an archipelago of natural beauty with their fishing villages, scattered islands, and towering mountains that drop directly into the sea.

This place looks like it was taken straight out of a Scandinavian postcard.

Adventure Surrounds

Hiking, sea kayaking, and even surfing are available, offering unique perspectives ruled by nature’s unfiltered beauty.

Discover Zhangye Danxia Geopark

The Zhangye Danxia Geopark , located in China, is renowned for its extraordinary landscapes of colorful rock formations.

These striking geological wonders, often referred to as the Rainbow Mountains , are the result of millions of years of mineral deposits and weathering.

A visit to the park offers a unique opportunity to explore its array of colors, with hues of red, yellow, orange, and green painting a surreal and vibrant landscape.

The best time to visit is during sunrise or sunset when the sunlight enhances the colors, providing a breathtaking view that resembles an impressionistic painting brought to life.

I got the chance to visit the same phenomenon while in Peru . It was nothing short of spectacular!

Packing and Preparation Tips for Aesthetic Travel

Packing for an aesthetic summer bucket list trip is different from your average vacation.

Your list should contain not just practical items like map, adaptor, and sunscreen, but also camera gear and outfits that pop in photographs .

Or in my case, a mermaid tail.

Invest in a good backpack that can hold your camera gear comfortably, and always carry a waterproof backpack cover or a dry bag to protect your equipment from the elements.

Portable tripods and stabilizers can be a lifesaver in uneven terrains or when the lighting is low. Don’t forget extra batteries and memory cards —you’ll be snapping more than usual.

Lastly, remember to travel with an open mind . Your most aesthetically pleasing photos may come from the unplanned moments and the unforeseen corners of the world.

The Best Gear for Aesthetic Travel Photography

Aesthetic travel doesn’t always require a professional camera; it requires a good eye and an understanding of lighting, composition, and a little creativity.

However, arming yourself with a DSLR camera or mirrorless equivalent will undoubtedly level up your photography game. Features like a full-frame sensor that excels in low light, manual settings, and RAW capabilities are indispensable .

Good lighting is crucial to taking enviable photos. Equip yourself with a Speedlight for portraits or a continuous LED light for videos and vlogging. If you’re traveling to destinations with stunning night skies, consider a fast prime lens or a camera with excellent low-light performance .

For landscape or architectural shots, wide-angle and standard zoom lenses are best. Look for lenses that are versatile and can handle varying lighting conditions. A macro lens will come in handy when you want to capture the small details of a location.

An extra battery pack and power bank are essential, especially when traveling to remote locations with limited access to electricity. It’s also wise to have a sturdy tripod for long exposure shots and time-lapse videos.

Final Word on this Aesthetic Summer Bucket List

This aesthetic summer bucket list is more than just a guide to taking beautiful photos—it’s an invitation to explore, to see the world through a new lens, and to find beauty in every corner .

Whether you’re watching the sunrise from a mountaintop, capturing the vibrant hues of a bustling city street, or enjoying the serene moments of a sunset beach picnic, each experience adds a unique layer to your summer story.

Remember, the best accessory you can bring on any adventure is your perspective. This summer, challenge yourself to step out of your comfort zone , to make connections with the places and people you encounter, and to share the stories that unfold.

Happy travels , and may your summer be filled with unforgettable moments and breathtaking sights.

The Mood Guide

The Ultimate Summer Aesthetics Guide: One Resonates With You

Stella m Soares

With the sun shining outside and the temperatures skyrocketing, it’s time to enjoy the longer day hour. Unless you’re into a dark gothic mood and can’t wait for the darkness, Summer is the time to venture out and try different experiences. On that note, not all summers are built the same and despite the sunshine, there are one or a few summer aesthetics that will resonate more with your lifestyle. And it matters because it can help you plan your vacations and your budget and turn it into a much more fulfilling experience for your soul than just going with the flow. So, this is a visual post, with inspiring images of different summer aesthetics. My goal? That you feel naturally connected to the summer aesthetic that speaks to your soul.

summer travel aesthetic

Oh, and there’s no age limit, ok? I really dislike this judgmental policy of age-appropriate. It’s castrating and limiting (and probably increases anti-depressants sales) because time is relative and just because you’re 50 or got married doesn’t mean that you have to behave a certain way. I can’t wrap my mind around it. If you have peace of mind under the stereotypes, that’s wonderful, it’s not negative. But if you don’t, well, maybe it’s time to let some light shine in your heart! Have fun!

Now, why is this important for your travel aesthetic ? Let’s take a look at what this conveys for your business:

The Importance of Visual Branding

🌟 Enhanced communication. With the right strategy, visual branding can be the best ally for conveying your business message without using words. The design choices you make will have an impact on how your audience perceives your brand. For example, will your travel aesthetic be adventurous or glamorous? We’ll find out!

🌟 Emotional impact. Strong imagery helps create meaningful associations and evoke feelings like excitement, enthusiasm, or nostalgia. Therefore, visual branding lets you connect with your viewers by nurturing a bond beyond the surface. All in all, this fosters brand loyalty, trust, and credibility.

At its core, there are 5 essentials to visual branding. While conveying different design requirements, each one is equally important as they’ll ultimately compose a cohesive travel aesthetic . Without further ado, let’s learn about each of them:

Logo Template Featuring A Camping Graphic

Logos use text, images, shapes, and colors to define a distinctive graphic mark for your business. Remember, logos are the first point of contact users have with your brand and first impressions matter.   In other words, your logo should function effectively as a standalone emblem while seamlessly fitting into your overall visual identity.

Typography ✏️

Yes, words do matter! Especially when communicating the right message for your brand. Yet, there’s much more in store regarding the perfect social media aesthetic. For starters, remember that font pairings shape how your phrasing is perceived. That’s where the font fun begins!

Depending on your choice, typographies can set different tones by evoking emotions and showcasing specific styles.  Additionally, they also play an important role in your content’s overall UX and readability. For example, did you know that serif fonts are often used for headlines as they have good legibility?

Travel Aesthetic Guide - Create Visual Experience from the Trip

Travel aesthetic guide. The beauty, charm, and unique qualities of your next destination. Start your visual planning with this guide.

From natural landscapes to graffiti-ridden streets, travel aesthetic is a chance to showcase a visual representation of your trip.

So, naturally, in this guide, I will describe all the areas of this beautiful aspect of travel.

The goal is for you to already start visualizing the trip so you can make the right planning for it.

Let’s go!

Table of Contents

What Is Travel Aesthetic?

What Is Travel Aesthetic

Travel aesthetic refers to the visual and sensory experiences we travelers encounter during our trips.

So, it includes the beauty, charm, and unique qualities of a destination.

For instance, its natural landscapes, architectural marvels, and cultural expressions.

Likewise, the seasonal transformations and other elements that contribute to the overall appeal and allure of travel.

Travel aesthetics are visually appealing on platforms like Pinterest, Instagram, and YouTube because they offer a window into captivating destinations and experiences.

For example, the stunning imagery, vibrant colors, and enticing scenes evoke a sense of wanderlust.

As a result, they inspire viewers to explore new places and create a desire to embark on their own travel adventures.

Meanwhile, planning for travel aesthetics can enhance your overall experience.

Researching and choosing destinations known for their picturesque landscapes, iconic landmarks, and cultural expressions can ensure you capture visually appealing moments.

Planning the right time and activities can optimize your chances of encountering enchanting scenes and enriching travel memories.

So, using the following areas, plan your aesthetic experience!

Natural Landscapes

Nature’s allure has an undeniable hold on the hearts of travelers, inspiring journeys to picturesque landscapes that boast breathtaking scenic vistas.

Consider Hawaii , for example.

These vast and majestic mountains, reaching high into the heavens, compel us to stand in awe of their grandeur.

Serene lakes, their glassy surfaces reflecting the surrounding beauty, beckon visitors to find tranquility amidst their shores.

Amidst the lush embrace of forests, a symphony of greenery and wildlife captivates the senses, igniting a desire to explore the mysteries hidden within.

Sandy beaches, stretching endlessly along the coastline, entice adventurers to bask in the warmth of the sun and embrace the rhythmic melody of crashing waves.

So, in nature’s theater of wonders, travelers find solace and inspiration, a sanctuary to escape the hustle of everyday life.

Here, time seems to slow, and the spirit finds peace as the soul reconnects with the simplicity of the world’s natural wonders.

For many, this magnetic allure becomes the driving force behind their wanderlust.

The desire to witness and experience the ethereal beauty of these natural landscapes propels them to traverse continents and cross seas.

In the end, the beauty of the world’s diverse landscapes reminds us of our place in a vast and awe-inspiring universe, stirring a profound sense of appreciation and humility within each traveler’s heart.

Architectural Marvels

In the tapestry of travel aesthetics, historic monuments like the Pyramids of Giza stand as enduring witnesses to the passage of time .

It’s like they’re narrating captivating tales of civilizations’ past.

These architectural marvels, with their intricate designs and grandeur, evoke a sense of wonder and admiration for the craftsmanship of our ancestors.

For example, as we explore the ancient ruins, we are transported back in time.

As a result, we feel a sense of connecting with the footsteps of those who once inhabited these hallowed grounds.

The remnants of lost civilizations invite contemplation on the impermanence of human endeavors and the resilience of the human spirit.

So, iconic landmarks, recognizable symbols of cities and nations, hold a special place in our collective consciousness.

For instance, they serve as beacons, guiding travelers to discover the heart and soul of a place.

Each edifice, with its unique architectural style and historical significance, tells a story of a bygone era, leaving an indelible mark on the present.

Amidst the traditional buildings that line quaint streets, the cultural identity of a place comes alive.

Likewise, the unique blend of architectural influences reflects the diverse heritage of a region, celebrating the fusion of artistry and functionality.

In these architectural wonders, we witness not only the mastery of design and engineering but also the spirit of creativity that transcends generations.

Each structure serves as a testament to the ingenuity and ambition of humanity, reminding us that even as time marches forward, the echoes of our craftsmanship endure.

Through these tangible expressions of history and culture, travelers find themselves immersed in the richness of the past, fostering a deeper appreciation for the diversity and interconnectedness of our global heritage.

Culture and Traditions

Culture and Traditions

In the intricate fabric of travel aesthetics, traditional customs weave threads of uniqueness and authenticity into the tapestry of exploration.

Think about Hinduism , for example.

Embracing the customs and rituals of a place offers a profound glimpse into the soul of its people, revealing the values and beliefs that have withstood the test of time.

Colorful festivals paint vibrant strokes on the canvas of travel memories, where locals and visitors alike gather in jubilation, celebrating their shared heritage.

The pulsating rhythms of music and dance create an atmosphere of unity and joy, inviting travelers to join in the revelry and forge connections beyond language and borders.

For example, indigenous arts and crafts embody the skillful hands and creative spirit of generations past.

So, each intricately crafted piece tells a story, preserving cultural narratives and artistic expressions unique to the region.

Delving into the world of local craftsmanship allows travelers to appreciate the artistry and labor behind these timeless treasures.

The exploration of local cuisine is a sensory journey where flavors and aromas awaken the palate to new tastes and culinary traditions.

Each dish bears the essence of the land, a fusion of history and environment, and a testament to the resourcefulness of people adapting to their surroundings.

Cultural performances, whether traditional dances, theater, or storytelling, transport audiences to different realms.

The stage becomes a portal to myths, legends, and folklore, conveying life lessons and moral values handed down through generations.

Immersing oneself in the local culture is not just an optional add-on to the travel experience; it is the essence of meaningful exploration.

By engaging with customs, festivals, arts, cuisine, and performances, travelers become part of a broader narrative, bridging gaps between cultures and fostering mutual respect and understanding.

Street Scenes and Markets

The beating heart of a destination comes alive through the bustling energy of its street life, where the pulse of daily existence reverberates in the air.

Amidst the urban symphony of footsteps, honking horns, and laughter, travelers can immerse themselves in the authentic rhythm of the city.

So, local markets , such as Christmas ones, are vibrant and diverse. As a result, they stand as veritable treasures troves of culture and commerce.

Stalls overflowing with colorful produce, aromatic spices, and artisanal crafts beckon passersby to explore their offerings.

The interplay of colors and textures in these markets is a feast for the eyes, reflecting the richness of a community’s traditions and tastes.

As travelers weave through the bustling lanes, they witness the choreography of daily interactions – vendors haggling, customers bargaining, and the exchange of smiles that transcend language barriers.

In these moments, the soul of the destination is laid bare, and the essence of its people shines through.

The unique travel aesthetic is brought to life by the vibrant atmosphere that permeates these street settings.

It’s a symphony of sensory delights, where the aromas of street food mingle with the sounds of chatter and laughter, forming an unforgettable collage of experiences.

Beyond the famous landmarks and tourist attractions, the streets and markets offer authentic glimpses into the daily life of a place.

In the ever-changing dance of life on the streets and in the markets, travelers find themselves woven into the tapestry of a destination’s essence.

It is in these candid moments that the beauty of travel lies – in the connection forged with the soul of a place, in the shared humanity that transcends borders, and in the discovery of the extraordinary in the seemingly ordinary.

Sunrises and Sunsets

Witnessing the sun’s daily performance, as it gracefully rises and sets over iconic landscapes, is a spellbinding encounter that awakens a sense of wonder in travelers’ hearts.

This is especially great if it’s at the beach .

In these fleeting moments, the heavens put on a breathtaking display, painting the canvas of the sky with an ever-shifting palette of colors.

The sky transforms, transitioning from the ethereal hues of dawn to the warm embrace of twilight, casting a mesmerizing glow upon the surroundings.

As the first rays of sunlight pierce through the horizon, the world stirs to life, unveiling its beauty anew.

Shadows retreat, and nature slowly comes to life, welcoming the promise of a new day.

The golden hour of sunrise is a photographer’s dream, as it bathes landscapes in a soft, diffused light, highlighting every intricate detail and casting a warm, enchanting ambiance.

Conversely, the sun’s descent at sunset is a poetic spectacle, creating a symphony of colors that dance across the sky.

The glowing orb dips below the horizon, leaving behind a tapestry of crimson, orange, and purple hues that reflect in lakes and seas, turning them into mirror-like surfaces.

So, the landscape becomes a living canvas painted with nature’s brilliance, leaving spectators in awe of the beauty that unfolds before them.

These magical moments during travel inspire contemplation and reflection, connecting travelers to the cycles of nature and the grandeur of the universe.

Capturing these photogenic instants on camera is an attempt to immortalize the fleeting beauty, but the true essence of the experience lies in being fully present, surrendering to the enchantment of the sun’s performance, and cherishing the memories of those captivating sunrises and sunsets forever.

Street Art and Graffiti

Street Art and Graffiti

In cities across the globe, hidden in plain sight, lies a vibrant world of street art that breathes life and creativity into the urban landscape.

Ordinary walls and buildings are transformed into colorful canvases, speaking a language of artistic expression that resonates with passersby.

So, in this open-air gallery, the streets become a stage for artists to communicate their visions, their emotions, and their stories.

Every stroke of spray paint and brush holds a deeper meaning, reflecting the pulse of the local culture and the ever-evolving social issues of the community.

Street art becomes a visual dialogue between artists and the city, a conversation that transcends traditional barriers of communication.

It echoes the struggles, triumphs, and dreams of a people, inviting viewers to contemplate and engage with the world around them.

Beyond mere aesthetics, street art represents a raw and unfiltered form of self-expression.

It challenges conventions and norms, provoking thought and igniting conversations about the complexities of life.

The walls become a canvas for dissent, hope, and solidarity, uniting strangers under a shared appreciation for art’s power to evoke emotion and drive change.

While some may see it as rebellious, street art has the uncanny ability to capture the essence of a place, capturing the pulse of its people and becoming an integral part of its cultural identity.

It is an invitation to look beyond the surface, to see the city with fresh eyes, and to discover the hidden gems woven into the fabric of the streets.

Seasonal Changes

A destination, like a chameleon, dons a new cloak of beauty with each changing season, enchanting travelers with diverse travel aesthetics throughout the year.

As spring unfurls its tender buds, the landscape is adorned with delicate cherry blossoms, painting a picturesque scene of renewal and hope.

The air becomes fragrant with the promise of warmer days ahead, inviting leisurely strolls amidst nature’s floral tapestry.

So, in the embrace of summer, the destination reveals its vivacious side.

The sun-kissed days beckon travelers to indulge in outdoor adventures, whether basking on sandy beaches, hiking through lush forests, or exploring charming villages bustling with life.

The vibrant hues of nature stand on full display, and the world feels alive with energy and vitality.

With the arrival of autumn, the landscape undergoes a breathtaking transformation.

Trees don their fiery coats of red, orange, and gold, creating a mesmerizing display of colors.

As the leaves gently fall to the ground, travelers witness nature’s poetic farewell to the warm embrace of summer, heralding a time of reflection and introspection.

Winter’s arrival wraps the destination in a serene embrace of tranquility.

The soft, white blanket of snow transforms the surroundings into a winter wonderland, evoking a sense of enchantment and wonder.

Adventurers embrace the opportunity for winter sports and cozy moments by the fireplace while the world seems to slow down, inviting contemplation and appreciation of the simple joys in life.

Each season has its charm, offering travelers a unique experience and a fresh perspective on a destination they may have known before.

The ever-changing canvas of nature’s beauty reminds us of the cyclical nature of life.

17 Pieces to Pack for a Summer Getaway

Curating the perfect vacation aesthetic

Every product on this page was chosen by a Harper's BAZAAR editor. We may earn commission on some of the items you choose to buy.

Whether you have European travel on the docket or find yourself planning (or daydreaming about) another type of summer escape, there’s nothing more fun than anticipating warm-weather dressing. There’s something so freeing about the laid-back aesthetic that is inherent to a summer wardrobe—the prerequisite is comfort. Vacation dressing adds another level of inspiration, bringing a relaxed, playful, and breezy wardrobe curation into play.

When it comes to pulling together the best pieces for vacationing, Emme Parsons, designer of the namesake shoe brand , tells Bazaar : “I like wearing silhouettes that aren’t too form-fitting or restrictive.” She adds, “For years I’ve worn a uniform of white jeans and button-down shirts or a short-sleeved polo sweater. This is such a classic combination that you can update with the different cuts and shirting materials. It’s a great travel day outfit that feels pulled-together yet comfortable.”

When selecting looks for packing, Parsons says, “I always take photos of all my outfits in a full-length mirror for every day I’ll be on a trip, so I don’t forget the combinations, and then save them to folder in my photos that I refer back to in case I want to repeat any outfits or feel stuck in terms of what to pack.”

Parsons also recommends throwing in extra pieces to ensure you have the best assortment of options for any detours that may come up. “I always overpack a little bit, so there are options in case the weather changes or your flight gets canceled and you have an extra day somewhere. This can be as simple a packing an extra light sweater, tank top, or dress that don’t take up too much space in your suitcase.”

From effortless matching sets to Riviera-inspired printed dresses to the perfect oversize button-downs, this roundup features everything you need to build out a stylish edit for a sun-kissed vacation.

My Favorite Comfy Travel & Airport Outfits | Jetset in Style

Planning a vacation in 2024 and need to know what to wear while traveling? I’ve got you covered with 17+ comfy airport outfits and travel outfits that are the perfect blend of chic and comfy, in any season!

Creating Chic Travel Outfits

Who doesn’t love going on vacation and traveling to a new destination? I know I definitely do!

But while I love exploring new places, I also know that travel days can be pretty hectic! It’s important to be prepared with comfortable outfits you can easily spend the day in while navigating airports or sitting in rental cars.

If you’re in need of fashionable and functional travel outfits, you’ll love my looks below. I have airport outfits for every style and season, so whether you’re traveling to a tropical paradise or a winter wonderland, you’ll be set!

denim jacket + a puffer vest

A woman at the airport wearing black leggings, a white tee, a blue denim jacket, and a black puffer vest with adidas samba sneakers and a black crossbody bag

get the look:

Layers are a must if you’re traveling in the fall or winter! I love starting my travel ensemble with basics like my Lululemon Align leggings and oversized Jil Sander tee (more affordable option here ) , then layering as needed.

Above, I added my Madewell denim jacket and Quince puffer vest to keep me warm and cozy both on and off the plane!

leggings+ a bomber jacket

A woman at the airport wearing black leggings, a white graphic tee, a grey jacket, and black sneakers

An oversized tee and black leggings are the start of my airport outfit here as well, but this time, I’m staying warm with a sleek and modern bomber jacket .

I recommend choosing an outfit like this when it’s a little warmer out. The jacket is perfect for staying warm in a cold airport but can easily be removed as needed. And, these New Balance 574 sneakers are so comfortable!

linen pants + a denim jacket

A woman at the airport wearing black linen pants, a white tee, a denim jacket, white and grey sneakers, with a tan leather crossbody

Drawstring linen pants are an absolute essential in my spring and summer wardrobe! They are so comfortable and easy to wear during a travel day, and the denim jacket is stylish and adds a layer of warmth – airplane AC is always so intense!

I love this Quince phone crossbody  for convenience (it fits a passport too) . And I always recommend wearing sneakers or other comfy footwear when traveling – bonus points if your shoes can be easily slipped off and on when going through security!

wool coat + Ugg slippers

A woman at the airport wearing black leggings, a grey crewneck sweatshirt, a brown wool coat, and Ugg slippers

Looking for the ultimate cozy travel outfit?

Leggings and Ugg Tasman slippers are definitely my go-to for comfort in the cooler months (the Uggs have been selling out constantly, so here’s a perfect high-quality Tasman dupe ) . And a long wool camel coat is not only chic but also perfect for layering – it doubles as a blanket on the plane!

I also love this long knitted coatigan from Mango as a great travel piece.

travel in neutrals

A woman at the airport wearing black linen pants and a white tee with a black sweater draped over her shoulders, grey and white sneakers, and a black crossbody bag

I love simple, neutral outfits because they always look effortless and stylish. A plain white tee and black linen drawstring pants are ultra-comfy but still have a chic, put-together aesthetic.

This outfit is great for summer traveling, but I always bring a sweater with me so I don’t get too cold on the plane.

bomber jacket + joggers

A woman at the airport wearing black joggers, a grey crewneck sweatshirt, a great jacket, white and grey sneakers, with a baseball cap and a black crossbody bag

This is another cold-weather travel outfit that I love! Lululemon fleece joggers and a crewneck sweatshirt are great base layers and the bomber jacket adds an extra cozy feel.

And if you ask me, this ensemble has a laid-back, sporty feel, making adidas Samba sneakers and a baseball cap the perfect finishing touch!

More Comfy Airport Outfits

I’ve stalked my favorite fashion influencer and have found even more comfy travel airports that are modern and chic. I think you’ll love them too!

trench coat + trousers

A woman ready to go to the airport wearing black pants, a classic trench coat, and converse sneakers

You don’t have to be traveling to France to dress like a Parisian while on vacation!

A trench coat is a classic piece in French fashion, and with good reason. It’s lightweight, versatile, and oh-so chic – what more could you want for an airport outfit?

I recommend using a trench coat to layer over other pieces when traveling in cold weather or to stay dry while out and about on rainy days. A trench coat can also be used for a modern and refined look, making it perfect for any occasion!

matching sweat set

A woman ready for the airport wearing a grey matching sweat suit set, a trench coat, and trainers

I think a matching sweatsuit set makes a perfect travel outfit because it’s comfortable and versatile. You can wear a sweatsuit set to stay warm while traveling in the fall or winter, and you can wear it as is or add layers if needed.

And I love that you can double up on a matching set by using it to build other outfits during your trip.

try (comfortable) denim

A woman at the airport with ripped blue jeans, white sneakers, and a white sweater

Jeans are a must to bring along when traveling, and you can’t go wrong wearing it as part of your airport outfit, so long as your jeans are comfortable and not too snug !

One thing I love about jeans is how easy they are to care for. Jeans can be worn days in a row before needing to be washed (especially in cold weather) , so being a low-maintenance and versatile piece makes them great for traveling in my opinion.

cozy shearling coat

A woman holding luggage wearing black leggings and a white coat with black Chanel boots and a pink beanie

A warm coat will keep you ultra-comfy as you fly. And if you ask me, a shearling coat or shacket is a travel piece you can’t go wrong with! This piece will keep you warm even on the coldest days, and it’s also fashionable and versatile enough to wear with so many outfits.

Such a chic and neutral-toned coat is a must if you’re traveling to or from somewhere chilly. And this coat will look great while keeping you cozy everywhere from the airplane to local cafes to must-see landmarks!

leggings + a denim jacket

A woman with luggage wearing black leggings and a grey hoodie with an oversized denim jacket and white sneakers

If you want to know one of the best things to wear while traveling, look no further than a classic pair of leggings.

Comfortable and stretchy leggings are a perfect piece to wear, whether you’ll be walking through an airport or sitting on a plane. I suggest searching for a pair made of breathable material and one with pockets for easy access to your phone and other essentials.

a long, cozy coat

A woman at the airport with olive green leggings, sweater, and baseball cap with a long white coat and white trainers

If you plan on traveling in the fall or winter ( or maybe your destination will have chilly weather ), bringing a coat is a no-brainer. And I think a long coat like this is an easy way to add a stylish and modern aesthetic to your outfits.

A piece like this will keep you nice and cozy during a busy day of traveling, and you’re sure to use it when trying local cuisine or attending a wine tasting. I love that it adds an elegant touch to a simple outfit like this, so you know you can pair this with any look, both casual and refined.

What should I wear to an airport in the summertime?

If you’ll be spending time at the airport in the summer, you will want an outfit that is both comfortable and cool. Choose lightweight and breathable pieces such as:

  • Short-sleeved tee or tank top
  • Lightweight leggings
  • Flowy dress
  • Midi or  maxi skirt
  • Cotton button-up shirt
  • Linen blazer
  • Sandals  or sneakers

Comfy Airport Outfits for Summer

There are tons of cute airport outfits that are perfect for hot summer days. I’ve got my favorite comfy airport outfits for summer below, so you don’t have to sweat it when packing or traveling!

a maxi dress

A woman at the airport with a flowing black floral maxi dress and chunky white sneakers

What would the summer be without gorgeous flowy dresses to spend your days in? This breezy piece will keep you comfy and cool throughout your day, and it will definitely be comfortable to wear while sitting on a plane.

And in my opinion, a dress is a great piece to bring along on your vacation. You can style it casually as you travel or when checking out local spots at your destination, and it can easily be transformed into a chic date night look with a high-end handbag and some gold-toned jewelry.

linen trousers + a tank

A woman holding luggage wearing pleated white pants, a striped tank top, and a sweater tied over her shoulders

Next on the list of comfy airport outfits for summer are flowy, linen pants. These are another fantastic travel piece you can wear for any occasion, from laid-back to classy and refined. So whether you plan on exploring tourist hot spots or dining on gourmet cuisine, these pants will fit into your vacation looks effortlessly.

I also think that crisp light-colored pants are perfect for a summer outfit, and the relaxed fit also makes them comfy enough for long travel days. They’ll fit easily into your luggage, and these lightweight trousers will definitely be a staple in your vacation wardrobe.

oversized blazer + bike shorts

A woman with luggage wearing black running shorts, a white crop top, a camel blazer, and white trainers

I know I’m not the only one who loves layering an oversized blazer over any outfit!

Adding a blazer to an outfit is a great way to elevate your look when it comes to comfy airport outfits for summer. A blazer instantly adds a stylish and modern vibe to any ensemble, so it’s a perfect styling piece to bring while traveling.

oversized button-up

A woman holding luggage wearing black leggings and a black crop top with a white button-up and black sandals

Cotton button-up shirts are a great way to feel comfortable and look chic in the summer. I suggest wearing this versatile piece over a crop top and black leggings, like in the outfit above, or keep it buttoned and tied in the front for a cute and casual aesthetic.

A button-up shirt is also another perfectly versatile piece for an airport outfit. I love that you can wear it out for a fancy dinner, pair it with jeans for a casual look, or layer it over a bikini during a tropical vacation.

matching skirt + tank

A woman with a dark tan maxi skirt, matching top, a white blazer, and white sandals at the airport

Go for maximum comfort and style in a stretchy, ribbed midi skirt and a matching top! A skirt and top set like this are lightweight and breezy but still offer plenty of coverage while traveling.

You’ll also have a perfect piece to wear for anything from sightseeing to a night out. And, my favorite thing about a matching set is that it can be kept together or mixed and matched with other pieces in your travel wardrobe. So you’ll have plenty of outfit options to choose from while on vacation.

bike shorts + hoodie

A woman with pink running shorts, hoodie, and baseball cap with white sneakers and a luggage set

In my opinion, running shorts and a hoodie are great for casual and comfy airport outfits. The biking shorts are very travel-friendly since they’re easy to spend a whole day in and won’t take up much space in your bag. Plus, you can wear them as part of other laid-back outfits or if you plan to stay on top of your workout routine on your trip.

From Coastal Grandma To Indie Sleaze, What’s Your Summer Aesthetic?

Your main character style is calling.

How are you planning to spend your summer? Decompressing on a beach, perhaps (Sally Rooney book in hand, of course). Or maybe you’re looking to blow off your post-finals steam with a full week of nights out dancing to Bad Bunny tunes. Summer is the season when you’re meant to embrace your most hedonistic self — the weather is warm, the days are long, and your responsibilities are taking second seat to all of your fun plans. But, plans aren’t enough, you need a summer style aesthetic that fits the person you want to be in 2022. If you’re not already exceedingly online, pop onto social media for an intro to the season’s fashion trends to consider as you develop what type of main character you’re planning to be.

Where to start? These days, so many trends find their early footing on Tik Tok. It’s a space where creators are quick to call out shifts in the cultural mood and to highlight emerging (and sometimes too many) aesthetics. This year, the reigning fashion movements shake out into two groupings. First, the cute, comfortable vibe of styles like Coastal Grandma and Coconut Girl , which work for both the introvert and the adventurer. Though, they’re definitely more geared towards a summer spent in the sun. Then, there are the after-dark approaches of trends like Night Luxe and Villain Era dressing, which tend to be a bit more revealing and over-the-top. Cutouts, sequins, and high heels are ideal if your goal is to let loose on the dance floor and hit the local hot spots.

No matter the summer you’re aiming to have, find the five dominating aesthetics to channel, below.

We only include products that have been independently selected by NYLON's editorial team. However, we may receive a portion of sales if you purchase a product through a link in this article.

Summer 2022 Aesthetic Trend No. 1: Coastal Grandma

Nancy Meyers has long been the advocate for this aesthetic, and it’s finally getting the attention it deserves. When you’re curled up on a cozy couch at your low-key beach house, be sure to break out the soft neutrals from head to toe. While you may not be gardening like Oprah or whipping up a party platter like Ina Garten, you can definitely dress the part.

The Tatum

Summer 2022 Aesthetic Trend No. 2: Night Luxe

Swap your hot girl summer for a little something fancier. Night luxe is the trend that’s all about taking your post-sunset glamour to the next level. Think: feathers, sequins, and short hemlines. If you didn’t know it before, consider this proof that the roaring ‘20s are here yet again.

Evie Dress

Summer 2022 Aesthetic Trend No. 3: Indie Sleaze

For those that lived through the first edition of indie sleaze , the basics brand American Apparel sat at the core of the messy, twee aesthetic. This time around, skip some of the cringe-inducing accessories (no newsboy caps, please), and opt for preppy-punk staples that you can finish off with a pair of Doc Martens. Or, if you’re really feeling for some throwback footwear: ballet flats or gladiator sandals.

Janis Skirt

Summer 2022 Aesthetic Trend No. 4: Coconut Girl

Whether your summer plans involve a visit to a beach somewhere or not, you can always embrace the breezy toes-in-the-waves aesthetic by channeling your inner Coconut Girl . Tropical prints and a bright and punchy color palette are both requirements for pulling off the look. Add a few pieces of playful rainbow jewelry, grab a frozen drink of choice, and you’ve nailed it.

Happy Hawaii Smocked Mini Dress

Summer 2022 Aesthetic Trend No. 5: Villain Era

It’s time to stop playing nice. Entering your villain era isn’t about actually doing anything evil, but it’s all about dressing the part of a woman who is owning her power and energy — and refusing to let anyone stand in her way. Choose pieces that are sharp, sleek, and edgy… just like you.

Don’t Forget to Pack These Travel Makeup Essentials

Westman Atelier Lip Suede lipstick

Products are independently selected by our editors. We may earn an affiliate commission from links.

Your flights are booked, your itinerary is set, your luggage is filled to the brim with your ideal vacation outfits —all that’s left to pack are your travel makeup essentials for a fun holiday ahead. Whether you’re adhering to TSA guidelines or just want to pack lightly, most of us will not be taking our complete makeup collection along for the ride—making the unavoidable task of paring down your beauty stash an important one.

Our Top Picks

  • The Makeup Organizer : July Vanity Cosmetic Case , $85
  • The Priming Moisturizer : Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré , $17
  • The Makeup Brush : Saie The Double-Ended Sculpting Brush , $30
  • The Tinted Moisturizer : Rare Beauty Positive Light Tinted Moisturizer , $30
  • The Bronzer : Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sun-Kissed Powder , $95
  • The Lip Oil : Summer Fridays Dream Lip Oil , $26

A beauty editor’s tip? Visualize the entire routine you’ll practice once you land from start to finish. You’ll want at least one complexion product to even skin tone and veil imperfections, along with multitasking pigments to bring warmth and subtle color to the face—plus, whatever you use to awaken your gaze, like eyeliner or mascara. And if your plans call for glam, eyeshadows and lipsticks are worthwhile additions, too. Below, we’ve created the ultimate makeup packing guide for your summer holiday and beyond.

Trusted Organizers

First things first, determine what travel makeup organizers work best for you. Maybe you already own the best toiletry bag that can fit both your skin-care and makeup necessities, or perhaps you’d prefer to store them separately. July’s water-resistant case has spacious compartments, transparent pockets, and even a detachable wet pouch—perfect to secure in your carry-on . Otherwise, consider Telena’s zippered pouch, which is wide enough to fit all your cosmetics, yet still compact to pop in your purse or personal item for easy access.

From the Oscars red carpet to the Met Gala , experts routinely emphasize the importance of skin prep for glowing skin with or without makeup. Our takeaway? Rely on nourishing formulas and face primers to prep your base. We’d reach for an exceptionally hydrating and soothing serum first, then the French pharmacy favorite Embryolisse cream to restore moisture and ready skin for makeup.

Refreshing Mists

The best face mists can be used to give skin a generous moisture boost before makeup application, or even lock in hydration throughout the day. Either way, these formulas will always come in handy. La Roche-Posay’s is made with the brand’s soothing thermal spring water, which boasts skin healing properties; whereas Tatcha’s delivers ingredients like Uji green tea, Akita rice, and Mozuku algae to reveal a luminous glow.

Multitasking Tools

You might be fine with applying all of your makeup with your fingers; if you favor a more precise approach, don’t forget to pack the beauty tools you rely on at home to perfect your look. Consider taking a makeup brush set like this one by Hourglass which features 17 super-soft, vegan brushes designed for the face, cheeks, and eyes. Or, opt for a single dual-ended option that pairs two different brush types in one—a larger side for sculpting and a smaller end for deft blending of the under-eye or eyelids.

Selecting your vacation complexion products is arguably the hardest part, with so many different types of foundations and tints to choose from—not to mention your own skin color potentially changing after spending time in the sun. You can't go wrong with Rare Beauty’s tinted moisturizer that even boasts sun protection plus soothing agents like lotus, gardenia, and white water lily, whereas someone after a more skin-like finish will appreciate the ever-evolving world of complexion balms . Anastasia Beverly Hills’s latest launch blends shockingly easy, making it seamless to swipe on and go.

Customizable Concealer

With your complexion set with an undetectable wash of skin tint or tinted moisturizer, next is to turn to a concealer to brighten dark circles and/or cover up blemishes. Merit’s The Minimalist stick will do just that. While many use it in lieu of foundation, I’m quite fond of it as a concealer—it is, after all, just small enough for deft application along the under-eye and never budges when swiped atop a pimple. For those interested in more traditional options, Natasha Denona’s concealer goes a long way. It’s very creamy but blends with ease, meaning you can cover whatever you like with just a dot of product.

Adaptable Color

The secret to keeping your makeup bag light is opting for versatile pigments that can quickly and easily awaken your complexion—instead of, say, carrying around several blushes and bronzers. Versatility is key on any kind of vacation! Make Up For Ever’s HD Skin Face Essentials palette is my favorite at the moment; it contains hues perfect for blush, bronzer, highlight, concealer, and foundation and cuts my beauty bag in half. Those partial to powders will love Chanel’s Healthy Glow powder. With a simple sweep, the formula creates a natural-looking flush that combines a blush, bronzer, and highlighter in one.

Set & Blur

Even on vacation, it’s important to lock your look in place appropriately. Charlotte Tilbury’s setting powder is excellent to have on hand to reduce shine and blur skin where you need it, earning bonus points for mess-free application (as opposed to loose setting powder options). Same goes for Kosas’s Cloud Set which delivers a soft blur and dreamy skin—so weightless, you’re likely to forget you’re wearing it.

Enticing Eyes

Play up your eyes by way of the a multitasking eyeliner or eyeshadow palette—both of which work wonders to make your eyes pop and enhance their shape. To perfect your signature wing or add dimension to your look, Victoria Beckham’s water-proof formula allows you to precisely etch color however you see fit, and even smudge it out for a more sultry, smokey effect. To amp things up a tad more, take your pick of two Ilia eyeshadow palettes—one Cool, the other Warm—to give lids a dusting of modern matte, satin, and metallic hues.

Fluffy Lashes

Even a lazy, post-beach look can benefit from several strokes of mascara. I mean who doesn’t want their eyes to pop? When it comes to fluffy, fluttering lashes on vacay, you’ll likely want something waterproof and flake-free. Makeup artists say L’Oréal's Lash Paradise is a classic that opens the eyes with a feathery bristled brush. Dior Diorshow Waterproof Mascara is equally as sought-after for its ability to deliver buildable volume, length, and fullness.

Tinted Lips

Makeup artists say that the key to nailing a minimalist makeup look is adding an accent of color. One of the easiest ways to do so while traveling is by keeping a tinted lip product on hand for a statement-making moment. Summer Friday’s lip oil has been a hit since its debut earlier this year; it leaves your pout softer and moisturized after each application. Not a big gloss fan? Reach for Westman Atelier’s matte lipstick for chic, buildable color no matter the occasion.

A Travel Guide to Visiting Vieques, Puerto Rico

A Travel Guide to Visiting Vieques, Puerto Rico

At present, the search for the perfect TikTok and Instagram shot looks more major than the journey itself, welcome to the time of aesthetic travel where remembrance takes a backseat to proving people the aesthetics. Thetrend of travel aesthetics online is getting vastly popular, with hashtags including #londonaesthetic and #travelaesthetic adding over 65 million and 40-95 million views, proportionately.

The online trend is getting increasingly big and popular, mainly among Gen Z, who see culture as a thing to be shared at their social media rather than being there and enjoying the culture. Although, this mentality and thinking are leading to a lot of disappointments and even discomfort over time and money, as travelers might become disappointed with the reality of the place they are travelling to, they only go to places for the particular aesthetics.

The travel aesthetic seen on social media is a imagination world and a montage of chosen and selected content that their audience likes to see depending on city to city. The better forms of media including movies, TV, travel guides and magazines have influenced people’s travel decisions so much over the past few years, and now social media has vastly multiplied it.

A classic travel aesthetic post generally includes panoramic views, charming streets, nature’s beauty and iconic landmarks adding with a filter over it. People are generally kept out from video or the picture, only for the basic character of the account that is the account holder. Doesn’t matter whether or not you are aware of the term, you can surely recognize it.

Think of places like the bustling Shibuya Street Crossing of Tokyo, Japan’s cherry blossom line streets, or the white washed buildings of Santorini, Greece. How can we forget the Parisian cobblestone street which is best for a photo just under the Eiffel Tower.

Social media is vastly inspiring more travelers to visit these locations, only for them to take a real quick picture, create crowd on landmarks, and disturb the enjoyable moments of travelers and locals who come to these cities to soak and learn the culture.

If by any chance the so called trendy and country aesthetic pictures is not your cup of tea, you may want to consider visiting lesser known and cheaper travel destinations. Choosing for under dog locations does not only helps you in saving money, but also allows you to have a valued, authentic and unique travel experience without any disturbance and o called travelers aesthetics.

What is Travel Aesthetics?

Today! in this sentance. if you want to know more about *what is travel aesthetics*? Country aesthetic pictures is a word created by the GenZ’s of our generation, no one actually knows from where this term originally came from. Traveling aesthetic are a thing which is widely followed by the new generations and are making people motivated and inspired to travel to these fancy and over the top and very costly locations just to get a picture of themselves there.

Some people doesn’t even want to click their images, they just tend to go to the place and post the main attractions of the city on their social media account.

traveling aesthetic has catched a very long pace due to social media, and no one thinks or predicts that it is going anywhere anytime soon. Because of the craze created by the term traveling aesthetic, people have forgot to go and enjoy the city’s culture they are attending to, they just go there to show the world and click aesthetic images of things.

click aesthetic images

The Gen z’s have created their own fantasy world on social media, travel aesthetic is a combination and mixture of clicked images of areas and places which people would like to see the most. No one is able to get a perfect picture in first go, the photos that you see on their social medias are a post uploaded after taking 500’s of photos and then choosing 1 out of those 500. Places like Paris, mountains, Nashville, Norway, Rajasthan are amongst some of the most aesthetic places to travel to.

The Traveling Aesthetic: A Guide to the World Around You

The travel aesthetic is something that is created by this generation of Gen Z’s and is populated by social media without any doubt. And I am not saying that I am against it or not. But it is important for the people to understand that going to places and posting 24x7 about their life is not what they need to do and experience.

According to me, if you are going someplace new and spending a big amount of money on your travelling than you should at least take some time out for you and experience and learn about the place’s culture and people. Sit with the new people, talk to them, understand and soak up their things. These things will help you in learning and exploring many things even about yourself.

We think that we know everything about ourselves, like what we want, what we need, etc, but it is not completely true. When you travel to different and new cities and roam on the streets of the cities, meeting new people and understanding their ideology and their work cultures, their languages, their likes, their dislikes, everything, you will surely learn many new things even about yourself.

Sometimes a 4 day trip can change your life completely, the 4 day trip can give you so much happiness and understanding about your own self that you weren’t able to get in your whole past life.

Giving aesthetics out to the world is fine and okay but also take time out for you own self and live a little more.

What Should I Comment on Vacation Pictures?

We cant deny the fact that because of travel aesthetics being so widely loved and adored on social media has given many people and youngsters a chance to explore and earn some good amount of money for themselves. It has open many job opportunities for the Gen Z’s. many people because of this is living the life independently and the type of life they want without any restrictions and any fear of opinions.

Comment on Vacation Pictures

There are many comments that you can post on people’s vacations picture, depending on the location of the image, some comments are.

1: Tan always looks good on you

2: OMG, so Jealous of you!

3: Bucket listed!

4: Love to join you in your next adventure

5: How can you stay so fit while having all that unhealthy food on vacations?

What Does Wanderlust Mean in Aesthetic?

Almost every traveler thinks of himself as wanderlust. The googled meaning of wanderlust is, A strong desire to travel and explore the world.

As wanderlust is described as the need to explore and travel the world, the travelers calls and think of themselves as wanderlust. It is one of the most used captions by the travelers, they want to explore the world and show their audience and educate them that how it is to be travelling to this place.

They posts stories and meet new people and tend to learn about their cultures, languages and also their likes and dislikes. And they enjoy and also get paid good to be doing this travelling and then portraying it to the world in a much more edited and perfect manner.

10 Things to Do in Sochi If You Love Nature

Lake Kardyvach. Sochi

Host to 2014 Winter Olympics , Sochi is now mostly known for the snowy slopes of Krasnaya Polyana and Rosa Khutor Alpine resort. However, the “Russian Riviera” is much more than a glorified ski-resort. With its picturesque waterfalls and pristine lakes, alpine meadows and spruce-fir forests, snow-capped mountains and dreamy river valleys, Sochi is an ultimate nature lover’s dream.

Aul tkhagapsh.

Founded in the middle of the 19th century, this village only consists of two streets and two lanes. Circled by a picturesque chestnut forest, Aul Tkhagapsh is surrounded by many visually-arresting natural landmarks – a mysterious rock formation called “the canyon of a hundred crying eyes”, beautiful waterfalls with organically formed stone basins and the Tiger cave, which is called so because of the whimsical clay dripstones. Despite its tiny size, the village itself has a lot to offer. You can see the only wooden mosque on the coast, learn about the customs and traditions of the Adyghe people, try on traditional clothes and taste authentic food and local wines.

Aul Tkhagapsh, Krasnodar Krai, Russia

Aul Tkhagapsh. Sochi

If you love picturesque ancient ruins put the Loo Temple on your must-see list. Drowning in the lush greenery of the Sochi National Park, Loo Temple is the remains of a 10th-century Byzantine temple, that’s been ruined and reconstructed multiple times. The temple was used as a place of worship and a fortification over the years.

Aibga Ridge

This spectacular mountain ridge stretches for 23 kilometers and has the Rosa Khutor Alpine Resort nestled at its feet. The ridge comprises of 10 peaks, with the four tallest being the best known: Aigba peak I (2391 m), peak II (2450,5 m), peak III (2462,7 m) and Black Pyramid (2375,3 m). Save a day or two to explore the ridge, full of rapid rivers, alpine meadows and waterfalls.

Achepsinskie Waterfalls

To admire the spectacular views that Achepsinskie Waterfalls offer, you’ll have to endure a pretty tiring trekking route through the Achishkho Mountain to the Achipse River. But those striking panoramas are totally worth the sweat and while the trekking may be tough going, it has a very decent infrastructure.

Khmelevskie Lakes

Located almost 2000 meters above sea level, Khmelevskie Lakes is an alpine lake system, named after the Russian botanist Vikenty Khmelevsky. Spread around emerald-green alpine meadows and surrounded by lush green forests, there are four rather sizable overgrown lakes and a few smaller ones.

Lake Kardyvach

Arguably the most popular tourist spot near Sochi, Lake Kardyvach is simply breathtaking. Situated 44 kilometers from the Krasnaya Polyana resort at the altitude of 1838 meters, the lake stays frozen for seven to eight months a year and even in summer the water temperature is never hotter than 12℃. The water in the lake changes its color depending on the time of year: in spring it turns green and in autumn it becomes dark blue, and no matter what season, it’s unbelievably clear. Akhshtyrskaya Cave

A unique monument of prehistoric architecture, Akhshtyrskaya Cave is set on the right side of Akhshtyrskaya Gorge, about 120m above the Mzymta River and 185m above sea level. The cave begins with a 20m corridor and then gets divided into two halls, 10m and 8m wide. The cave has been heavily explored by archaeologists, who discovered traces of Neanderthal culture dating back to 40,000 BC.

Shakhe River

Sochi’s second most significant river, Shakhe begins high in the mountains and flows down to the Black Sea . 59 kilometers long, the river has some amazing natural attractions in its valley: Dzhegosh Gorge, 33 waterfalls, stone lake basins, ancient oak trees, rare plant life and so much more.

Agurskie Falls, Sochi

Words can’t do justice to the virgin beauty of the Khuko Lake and scientists are still puzzling over the absence of any life in it. Set between Adygea and Krasnodar Krai, the lake offers incredible views of the mountains Fisht, Oshten and Pshekha-Su.
