The Killers announce outdoor shows on huge 2022 Australia tour
Is there anything more perfect than shouting along to The Killers in the sunshine?
Get your dancing shoes ready because American rockers The Killers are heading our way in 2022.

As well as playing arenas in major capital cities, they will also perform two unforgettable a day on the green shows alongside an outdoor show at some of Australia’s most beautiful wineries.
Talk about the perfect way to experience The Killers’ incredible catalogue of hits.

The Killers will tour our shores as part of their 2022 Imploding The Mirage World Tour, which will see the band playing headline shows and festivals across the globe in celebration of their sixth album, the ARIA #1 Imploding The Mirage .
Earlier this year, while touring was still on hold due to the ongoing pandemic, The Killers released their seventh studio album, the quieter, character-study-driven album, Pressure Machine . The resulting record is an aural document of growing up, and living, in the American Southwest.
So it’s safe to say that alongside classic hits like ‘Mr Brightside’, ‘When We Were Young’, ‘Human’, ‘The Man’, and ‘Bones’, The Killers have got a stack of new music to show Australian fans.
Since bursting on to the scene in 2004 with their double platinum debut album Hot Fuss, The Killers have gone on to sell over 30 million albums worldwide and headline some of the biggest festivals and stages in the world – cementing their place in music fans hearts and playlists in every corner of the globe.
Don’t miss your chance to see The Killers perform in these special, not-to-be-missed outdoor concerts when they land on Australian shores in 2022.
The Killers will bring their new albums Imploding The Mirage and Pressure Machine to Australian stages in November and December 2022. Tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster.com.au.

Make sure you have a My Ticketmaster account
Get the basics covered before tickets go on sale by logging in and checking your Ticketmaster account ahead of time. If you don’t have a Ticketmaster Account then make sure you sign up in advance – Ticketmaster.com.au .
Sign into your My Ticketmaster account ahead of time
Remember to triple check your passwords, account information, and billing information are all filled in correctly in advance, that way you’re not facing any last-minute account updates when trying to process your order.
Keep your options open with ‘Best Available’
Save time by searching “Best Available,” which scans all sections fast – it’s quicker than searching sections one at a time.
Keep an eye on the clock
There will be a time limit applied to all transactions as they’re progressed through the ticket purchasing stages. Remember to keep an eye on the timer on your screen and move through the processing pages as quickly as possible (this is even easier when you’ve completed the account set-up stage we mentioned above).
Don’t refresh your screen
Stick to one window while you’re in the Waiting Room and when you’re being pushed through the Smart Queue and always resist the urge to refresh.
Hitting the refresh button means you’ll lose your place in the queue and, as frustrating as it can get, patience is the only way to win this game. Ticketmaster is equipped with sophisticated systems that are designed to manage and process ticket purchases as quickly as possible. The queuing system that appears on your screen will place you at the front of the line as soon as possible.
Remember: there are a lot of fans
We’re expecting this to be a very popular event. When a popular event goes on sale there are hundreds, and sometimes thousands, of customers all attempting to purchase tickets at the same time. Tickets are sold as long as seats are available, and when an act is as popular as The Killers, sometimes they go very quickly.
Be sure to follow the above tips to ensure you have the best chance of snapping up some tickets.
We’ve said it before, we’ll say it again: The Killers Australian tour tickets go on general sale from Monday 15 November @ 2pm (local) via Ticketmaster.com.au.

‘The Killers are... the pinnacle of live music performances and should be seen for both the spectacle and showmanship of the band.’ – The Advertiser
Earlier this year while touring was still on hold due to the ongoing pandemic, The Killers released their seventh studio album, the quieter, character-study-driven album, Pressure Machine . The resulting record is an aural document of growing up - and living - in the American Southwest, told from a myriad of perspectives. Pressure Machine includes ‘Quiet Town’ and ‘Runaway Horses (featuring Phoebe Bridgers)’. The band performed album track ‘ In Another Life’ live on The Late Late Show with James Corden. Imploding The Mirage was self-produced by the band in partnership with musical engineer Shawn Everett (The War On Drugs, Kacey Musgraves, Beck) and Foxygen multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Rado. The album, as a whole, is heavily influenced by the likes of Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel, Bruce Springsteen and New Order and promises something of a return to the Heartland Rock sounds of much-loved albums like Sam’s Town and Battle Born . The list of featured artists includes Lindsey Buckingham, kd lang, Weyes Blood, Adam Granduciel (War On Drugs), Blake Mills, and Lucius.
‘If ‘Wonderful Wonderful’ was an arm around a trembling shoulder, ‘Imploding The Mirage’ is a raised fist to the future. It’s the sort of attitude that could help us all endure such trying times, and The Killers’ sixth album sounds unbreakable too. They long ago reached their natural pumped-up radio rock peak, yet here sound as though they’ve been hitting the sonic steroids. The Killers have made another dazzling statement of ultra-modern pomp, and one arguably even more in step with new generations of alt-rock. It’s a musical DeLorean: rooted in mainstream Americana but speeding into adventurous horizons.’ ★★★★ – NME
The Killers first burst onto the scene in 2004, topping Australian charts and going double platinum with debut album Hot Fuss . Featuring hit singles ‘ Mr. Brightside ’ and ‘ Somebody Told Me ’, the album received instant popularity and widespread international success. Since then, the band have sold over thirty million albums worldwide, and headlined all of the world’s top festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Glastonbury and received countless accolades including multiple Grammy nominations, American Music Award nominations, MTV Video Music Awards and NME Awards. On the very same day that 2017’s Wonderful Wonderful hit #1 on the ARIA Album Chart, the band took to the stage at the hallowed Melbourne Cricket Ground for the 2017 AFL Grand Final and absolutely nailed their set:
‘The Killers’ set has already started to be considered as one of the greatest AFL performances in recent years.’ - Tone Deaf
‘The Killers have killed it with the crowd at the AFL Grand Final as they kicked off pre-game festivities in front of a packed MCG with a bite-size rock festival’ - Herald Sun
The Killers are exceptionally well-loved down under with all ten shows on the band’s 2018 tour completely selling out. Live music is back, secure tickets now for these not to be missed shows.

The Killers will tour our shores as part of the Imploding The Mirage 2020 Tour, playing headline shows and festivals across the globe in celebration of their sixth studio album Imploding The Mirage (out Friday 29 May through Island Records/Universal Music Australia).

Imploding The Mirage was self-produced by the band in partnership with musical engineer Shawn Everett (The War On Drugs, Kacey Musgraves, Beck) and Foxygen multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Rado. ‘Brandon Flowers and co – with a little help from the Pet Shop Boys, Johnny Marr and the pyrotechnics department – provide one of those special Glastonbury Moments’ – ★★★★ The Guardian
The band’s most recent album Wonderful Wonderful (2017) peaked at #1 on both the Billboard and ARIA album charts and has amassed more than 342m+ combined streams globally to date. NME have since cited Wonderful Wonderful as the album where The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers “bares himself more than ever before” as a songwriter and further cementing this as the band’s “best album since 2006’s ‘Sam’s Town’.

The Killers Australia tour: The one song everyone knows
It seems hard to believe anyone could not know this song that has had more than two billion plays. But there is at least one person.

Rocker breaks silence about on-stage brawl
For a song that has had nearly two billion plays across streaming platforms, it’s hard to believe anyone doesn’t know Mr Brightside by The Killers.
But this TikTok videos shows there is at least one person who doesn’t know the iconic single from the Las Vegas band’s debut album Hot Fuss in 2004.
As people dance and sing along, the shot pans to one lonely punter in the corner frantically trying to find out the name of the song on Shazam.
Of course, it might be set up and the TikTok is just to prove that everyone under 40 does know the song.
Mr Brightside has become the band’s anthem, and one they still play at all gigs.
When they last toured Australia in 2018, they told news.com.au the song had taken on a life of its own.
@benchmob there’s no way he didn’t know (@Tara) ##thekillers ##party ##shazam ##mrbrightside ♬ original sound - benchmob
“It’s like happy birthday now,” drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr joked.
Singer Brandon Flowers added: “Something just happened over the last five years that we don’t really have an explanation for and that song has just grown.”
In 2015 Flowers said: “I never get bored of singing it.”
Next year The Killers return to Australia and New Zealand for a nine-date tour to promote their 2020 album Imploding The Mirage .
They were originally meant to tour last year but Covid-19 put an end to all that. So in the downtime The Killers recorded and released another album Pressure Machine .

First announced in November 2021, The Killers’ ‘Imploding The Mirage’ tour will hit Australian shores next month, with the band performing nine shows across the country through to December 19. In addition to their Australian dates – which include shows in Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney, among other cities – The Killers will also perform in Auckland and Christchurch on November 21 and November 25 respectively.
Cameron and Ladder will join The Killers on various dates of the tour. For his part, Ladder will provide support for both of The Killers’ NZ shows, alongside additional dates in the Hunter Valley, Geelong and Barossa Valley – the last two of which form part of the band’s appearance at the concert series A Day On The Green.
Meanwhile, fellow singer-songwriter Cameron will share the spotlight with both Ladder and The Killers in the Hunter Valley and A Day On The Green shows. Elsewhere, he’ll provide solo support for The Killers’ Australian dates in Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney. Cameron’s guest spot will coincide with his own run of headline shows in support of his ‘Oxy Music’ album – which likewise kick off in November with stops in Fremantle, Sydney and New Zealand.
Remaining tickets for The Killers’ Australian and NZ tour are available here .
Earlier this year, Ladder embarked on a tour of his own alongside his backing band, The Dreamlanders. That tour – which ran across six dates in April and May – came in support of Ladder’s 2021 album, ‘Hijack!’ , and itself followed a run of 2021 dates in celebration of the 10th anniversary of his band’s debut album, ‘Hurtsville’.
The Killers’ ‘Imploding The Mirage’ tour comes in support of its namesake album , which was released in 2020. The band’s sixth studio LP featured the singles ‘Caution’ , ‘C’est La Vie’ , and ‘My Own Soul’s Warning’ , and was described by NME as “experimentation meets canyon rock enormity” in a five-star review .

Since then, the band released their seventh studio album, ‘Pressure Machine’ , in August of last year. In an interview with NME after its release, drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr. described ‘Pressure Machine’ as “something new and fresh”.

Press Release:
Earlier this year while touring was still on hold due to the ongoing pandemic, The Killers released their seventh studio album, the quieter, character-study-driven album, Pressure Machine. The resulting record is an aural document of growing up – and living – in the American Southwest, told from a myriad of perspectives. Pressure Machine includes ‘Quiet Town’ and ‘Runaway Horses (featuring Phoebe Bridges)’. The band performed album track ‘In Another Life’ live on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
Imploding The Mirage was self-produced by the band in partnership with musical engineer Shawn Everett (The War On Drugs, Kacey Musgraves, Beck) and Foxygen multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Rado. The album, as a whole, is heavily influenced by the likes of Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel, Bruce Springsteen and New Order and promises something of a return to the Heartland Rock sounds of much-loved albums like Sam’s Town and Battle Born.
The Killers first burst onto the scene in 2004, topping Australian charts and going double platinum with debut album Hot Fuss. Featuring hit singles ‘Mr. Brightside’ and ‘Somebody Told Me’, the album received instant popularity and widespread international success.
‘The Killers’ set has already started to be considered as one of the greatest AFL performances in recent years.’ – Tone Deaf ‘The Killers have killed it with the crowd at the AFL Grand Final as they kicked off pre-game festivities in front of a packed MCG with a bite-size rock festival’ – Herald Sun
The Killers are exceptionally well-loved down under with all ten shows on the band’s 2018 tour completely selling out. Live music is back, secure tickets now for these not to be missed shows.

Come On Out Of Your Cage — The Killers Are Touring Australia Later This Year
20 years after the release of their multi-platinum debut album Hot Fuss , American rock royalty The Killers are returning to Australia for a limited run of shows across the country — slated to begin on November 30th.
The Las Vegas-based stadium rockers, behind such longstanding millennial faves as ‘Mr. Brightside’ and ‘Somebody Told Me’, are working from a two-setlist itinerary for the duration of their ‘Live in Australia’ tour.
The real gold dust, however, has been saved for primetime slots in Sydney and Melbourne (on December 7th and December 13th respectively). Here, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their rise to fame, the band will be playing a show composed entirely of the Hot Fuss track listing: including ‘Smile Like You Mean It’, ‘Somebody Told Me’, and of course…’Mr. Brightside’.

The Killers Are Touring Australia In 2024 So Prepare To Fight Literally Everyone For Tickets
Alex Bruce-Smith
The Killers will be touring Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Townsville — yes, Townsville — this November and December, touring a Rebel Diamonds ‘best of’ concert. Prepare to go to war with the rest of Australia for these tickets, but hey — at least if you miss out, you’ll be able to hear “Mr Brightside” sung by every drunk cousin at every wedding you ever attend, just as Brandon Flowers intended.
Head here for ticket details .

You'll be doin' just fine when The Killers hit Brisbane to celebrate 20 years of 'Hot Fuss'.
This tour will get you smiling like you mean it: The Killers are returning Down Under in 2024, playing the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Monday, December 9. The Las Vegas-born rockers were last here in Australia in November and December 2022 , and are coming back two years later to get crowds singing 'Mr Brightside' and 'Somebody Told Me' again.
Hot Fuss , the album that gave the world those two beloved tracks — and 'Smile Like You Mean It', 'Jenny Was a Friend of Mine', 'All These Things That I've Done' and more — is the reason for the visit. 2024 marks 20 years since it first released, so Brandon Flowers and company are celebrating in the best possible way.

Open up your eager eyes, Brisbane: destiny is calling you catch the group's Rebel Diamonds show, pumping through the group's hits across their entire career. Given the band's lengthy back catalogue, The Killers won't just be focusing on Hot Fuss tunes, but have plenty more songs to bust out. Also likely to get a whirl as well: 'When You Were Young', 'Bones', 'Human', 'The Man' and latest single 'Bright Lights', just to name a few.
The Hot Fuss gigs have been receiving a workout in the group's hometown this year as well, where they played a soldout residency at Caesar's Palace from mid-August till early September.
Sadly, this Aussie tour's November/December timing means that The Killers won't be repeating their AFL Grand Final berth after stealing the show back in 2017. They will be in the country for the AFLW Grand Final, however, if you want to start crossing your fingers.

The Killers Announce 2024 Australian Tour
The Killers will return to Australia in December 2024, playing a run of east-coast arena shows with alternating themes each night. Some shows will be a playthrough of Rebel Diamonds , their 2023 greatest-hits compilation, while others will be a playthrough of Hot Fuss , their multi-platinum 2004 debut album which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. A full list of tour dates and ticketing information can be found below.
In addition to performing in the major east-coast capital cities, the Las Vegas pop-rock band will also be performing in Townsville for the first time, at the city’s Queensland Country Bank Stadium. In a statement given to The Townsville Bulletin , Frontier Touring CEO Dion Brant explained that the hope was to bring attention to the “overlooked” northeast Queensland region. “Townsville sometimes misses out on [more than] it deserves, and we wanted to kick [the tour] off with a bang,” he said. “It will also be the biggest show on the tour.”
The Killers – ‘Somebody Told Me’
Hot Fuss was released on June 7th, 2004. It went on to sell over seven million copies globally, topping the charts in four countries and going 30 times platinum. Four singles were released from the album, all of which have gone on to be played at every Killers show for the ensuing 20 years: ‘Mr. Brightside’, ‘Somebody Told Me’, ‘All These Things That I’ve Done’ and ‘Smile Like You Mean It’.
All four songs appear on Rebel Diamonds , the band’s second greatest-hits compilation following 2013’s Direct Hits . Along with a collection of the band’s singles across their career, it also featured three songs that were recorded for the band’s eighth studio album which was later scrapped entirely. The band recently shared a new single entitled ‘Bright Lights’, the first new music from the band to feature the full classic line-up in roughly a decade.
The Killers were last in Australia circa December 2022 , where they played a run of arena dates as well as a one-off show at Sydney’s Liberty Hall immediately after the band’s Qudos Bank Arena show. In a review of both shows , Music Feeds praised the band for “cement[ing] their place atop the contemporary rock totem pole”.
“No matter how many times The Killers have run through these exact movements, played these hits, and Flowers stuck out the mic to let the audience finish his sentences, each moment is reborn night after night thanks to the revelry of the audience,” it read.
