Sea Trek Helmet Diving in St. Maarten

• Check in at Bobby's Marina and board a water taxi over to Little Bay
• Receive a safety briefing and get geared up for your Sea Trek tour and descend down the ladder
• Walk around between a sunken helicopter, submarine, shipwreck, real cannons and a statue of Neptun
• Mingle with the inhabitants of the reef including tropical fishes, lobsters, crabs and sometimes turtles
• Smile for the camera as we take dozens of photos of you that you may purchase after the Sea Trek tour

Important: Daily schedule of the water taxi depends on cruise ships. Select the preferred day and we will let you know the schedule. Your credit card will not be charged until you are fully confirmed. Cruise ship passengers must book through their cruise line.

Sea Trek St. Maarten is the most incredible Helmet diving experience you will ever have! No training required and no swimming involved! Your hair stays dry and you can wear your prescription glasses.

On the Sea Trek Adventure, you will see: shipwrecks, historical canons from Fort Amsterdam, a sunken Odyssey submarine, King Neptune, a helicopter, an air plane and an abundant variety of fish, corals and sea life- it is like being in your own aquarium! The staff will stay with you at all times- they are safe and a lot of fun! The maximum depth is 20 feet (6 meters) and you will be down for 20-30 minutes.

The tour starts when we pick you up in Bobby’s Marina for a 10 minute boat ride. Once at our site-you can stow away your personal items (not secured) and you will receive a short briefing. Then the real fun begins! There will be time to snorkel, swim or catch some rays in addition to your awesome dive!

After your Sea Trek walk you can enjoy looking at your underwater photos, available for purchase in a USB flip card for only $35. Cameras, t-shirts and more will be for sale. We also have snorkel equipment for you available if you want to watch your fellow participants from the surface.

At the end of your tour, the water shuttle will take you back to Bobby’s Marina. An awesome family adventure! Please make sure you wear your bathing suit. No changing/rest room available on the platform.

Guests should consider their physical fitness level and medical history when determining whether this tour is appropriate. Guests with cardiac conditions, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, other heart, respiratory or other medical condition should take particular caution when selecting a tour with snorkeling/swimming/diving elements. If you have any of the above conditions or a pacemaker or if you are over 3 months pregnant, you will need a written Doctor’s clearance to participate. Guests who have concerns should consult with their personal physician before engaging in any activity that may be strenuous for them.

• Exact schedule depends on cruise ship schedule. Book for your requested day and we will let you know exact check-in time
• You must be able to climb a ladder and be in good overall physical condition
• No swimming is involved in this activity
• Cash only to purchase additional items in site
• No changing room / restroom on the platform
• No pregnant women or people with physical disabilities, pacemaker or claustrophobia are allowed
• Cruise ship passengers must book through their cruise line
• Full refund if cancelled at least 24 hours before the commencement of the activity, no refund after.
• Full refund if cruise ship does not dock in time or does not dock at all and tour is missed.
• Full refund if supplier cancels the tour.
• If there is no specific check-in time then booking must be cancelled at least 24 hours before tour day.
• No refund if you don’t show up for the activity or if it starts with a pick up and you miss it.
• Supplier gets to decide if the weather is good enough to run the tour.
• In case of a dispute, Twistour has the final word in deciding the amount of refund.

Experience the thrill of coming face-to-face with friendly marine life and mysteries of the deep. After you put on a safe and secure Sea Trek helmet you'll see the sea like never before. These specially designed helmets let you breathe naturally, keeping your hair and face dry (you can even wear prescription glasses) as you walk, breathing in cool and filtered air conditioned air. After orientation, you'll don your "Jules Verne" type diving helmet and descend into the Caribbean Sea. An undersea pathway takes you past dramatic shipwrecks, cannons, a sunken Odyssey submarine and abundant varieties of rainbow colored fish. The experience of being so close and immersed in this world is truly spectacular. If it is not your turn to go down, full snorkel gear and floating noodles are available on the boat. This is truly a fantastic experience you will want to share with your family and friends.

Special Notes:

Tour timeline may vary to avoid overcrowding, etc.

Depart from pier to Little Bay by water taxi.

Water taxi boat ride to little bay, arrive at seatrek dock in little bay, welcome speech and briefing., start your seatrek dive in groups of 7 to 8 people (bottom time approximatively 30 minutes), farewell briefing, boatride back to the water taxi pier., arrive at the water taxi pier and proceed unguided to the ship.

Does anyone know anything about this excursion? My husband and I are thinking about it for our upcoming Solstice cruise this February.

Can't speak for the site in St. Martin, but did a sea trek helmet dive in Grand Cayman. It was awesome. There was a scuba diver and a guide using the helmet, plus someone who stayed on the boat and took care of the oxygen, that went with the group of eight divers. There was a safety talk on the way to the dive site. The dive itself lasted about one half hour. It was great to be under water, with my glasses, so I could actually see everything. DD 12 at the time also went and had no problems doing the dive. :D

:(Tried to do one in St. Thomas this year, but it was cancelled due to rough seas.

Thanks for the info. It sounds perfect. I've been scuba diving, but wanted to try something new. My Dh and I booked it, so I'll make sure to review it when we return.

If you have gone scuba diving, and are comfortable with it, you may not enjoy the helmet dive as much as we did.You are limited as to where you can go. You are "tethered" to the area around the dive platform which is where they pump the oxygen in. Since we have never gone scuba diving, it was great for us and for DD. Not trying to talk you out of the dive, just want you to be aware of the limits. :)

Might be a little late, and you might have already picked your excursion, but for anyone else reading this. My fiance and I just did a helmet dive for the first time in St Maarten. We really enjoyed it. It is really an experience you have to experience to truly appreciate how much fun it is. The staff in St Maarten were very helpful. My husband and I will be in St. Maarten in October with several friends. I'm sure some of them would be interested in this excursion. Can you tell me who you booked it through? I prefer not to book through the cruiseline.

Just did this excursion on 3/18 and was a great experience. We booked through the cruise line for 115 per person and were taken to a great site near FT. Amsterdam and little bay. At the site is a sunken submarine, a cannon that was blown from the Fort into the water by hurricane Luis in '95 and some diving bells.

Hi, your pics look great. My wife and I are going to St. Maarten at the end of October. We saw a You Tube video of the St. Thomas location and the water was very murky and not that many fish. We where going to go with this location until we saw you photos and now we are considering St. Maarten. If we do I hope we have the same results as you did! :)
